Dr. Tracy Freeman - Holistic Health
Dr. Freeman is an integrative medical physician whose primary focus is achieving wellness through a combination of holistic and conventional medicine methodologies. Dr. Freeman, whose medical career spans almost two decades, has progressively reoriented her practice to include natural treatments and a search for the root cause of disease. Dr. Freeman sees herself as a primary care physician who is philosophically based as a medical ‘detective’ and a patient advocate dealing with issues across the spectrum of physical and other disorders. She is committed to spending time with her patients and learning about their backgrounds and lifestyles. Upon graduation from Howard University College of Medicine, she received a Masters in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at The University of Florida Shands Jacksonville Health Center. She has further served the underserved and others remote from accessing quality medical treatment in an array of venues both domestically and in locales in Jamaica and Ghana. These Foundations, when combined with her knowledge of holistic and natural treatments, allow Dr. Freeman to treat the whole person utilizing many approaches.
Linda Petursdottir - Nutrition and Wellness Coach
Linda is the founder and owner of Simple Well Being. Through 1;1 coaching, her signature 10-day seasonal detox program and cooking classes, Linda encourages deep discovery around food, movement, sleep and self-awareness, helping her clients embrace healthy eating and vibrant living, setting a foundation for wellness that will last their lifetime. She is a (2005) graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in New York, a Board-Certified Nutrition and Wellness coach, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and is currently studying at the School of Applied Functional Medicine to deepen her ability to find root causes of her clients’ symptoms and alleviate dis-ease. Linda is an empathetic, inspiring and knowledgeable coach, helping her clients feel at ease, overcome obstacles and make lasting, positive changes.
When not working, the former three-time Icelandic gymnastics champion enjoys the challenges of trail running and advanced yoga classes. She also loves to travel, cook and get her family to try new recipes.
Jessica Luke - Massage Therapist
Jessica Luke is the owner and manual therapist at 1440 Health in Bethesda. She provides a unique combination of manual therapy techniques along with corrective exercise instruction to help treat chronic pain and other conditions of the body. She went to the Southeastern School of Neuromuscular Therapy after completing a B.S. in Exercise Physiology from Ithaca College. Since that time she’s worked with thousands of people, helping to teach them about how they can correct bad posture, become stronger and have more pain free movement.
